How to Manage Your Blogging Schedule

I am an engineering student and therefore finding time to update my blog and also keep my studies on track is a difficult thing to do. I know this a situation which many of the bloggers face today and there is a dreadful need to achieve some sort of regularity here. Start by listing all the activities that you take up everyday for a week so that you will come to know where actually you can squeeze that extra time for your blogging activities. Make sure you keep your posting and searching times different so that you can maintain some sort of quality. I normally check my feed reader every afternoon for my new content and information collecting for my blog, and I normally post every night and thereby I actually get some time to proof read my post before publishing on it.

Take it from me, if you can post as regularly as often, you will see an increase in the readership of your blog. Basically a user doesn’t have to hit your feed at random times so that he can see new stuff, but he actually knows when you’ll be posting next. See how much more easy you are making things for your reader. Make out one nice small timetable like that of mine I have given below and try as hard as possible to stick to it. Once you do that you’ll automatically see an increase in the readership of your blog and also in the quality of content you produce.

Well here is my timetable:

5:00 :- Get up from Bed
5:00 – 6:00 :- Read the College Stuff
6:00 – 7:15 :- Get Ready for College and Have Breakfast and go to College
9:00 – 13:00 :- Attend Classes
13:00 – 13:15 :- Have Lunch
13:15 – 14:00 :- Information Hunting
14:00 – 17:00 :- Attend Classes
19:00 – 21:00 :- Read the college stuff
21:00 – 22:00 :- Add new stuff to the blog
22:00 – 23:00 :- Watch T.V and then go to Bed

See how simple your timetable can be. Have something similar to this and I bet your blog will definitely prosper in a month or two. Well I did mention before that try and keep your posting and searching times different simply because it not only improves quality but also makes things easier to you. Let me tell you why…

Say you find something that interests you and you think that it should be there on your blog. Suppose you read the whole thing and put it on your blog, you might end up in copying portions of the text and stuff like that and you also use less of your creativity. Say you read it and save the key points somewhere. You come back later and you get some ideas and guess what you actually manage to create something nice. See the time factor there, let me tell you that delay is worth it.

Hope you benefited from these tips and I hope that you have something else to say too..
